Carl Phillips is the author of seven collections of poetry, including From the Devotions, The Tether, Rock Harbor, and The Rest of Love. He recently published a collection of essays, Coin of the Realm, as well as a translation of Sophocles’ Philoctetes. The recipient of numerous awards, Carl lives in St. Louis, where he teaches at Washington University.
