Nathaniel Mackey is the author of several collections of poetry, including Eroding Witness, School of Udhra, Whatsaid Serif, and Four for Glenn, as well as the critical works Discrepant Engagement: Dissonance, Cross- Culturality, and Experimental Writing, and Paracritical Hinge: Essays, Talks, Notes, Interview, which was published in 2005 by the University of Wisconsin Press. In 2006, New Directions will publish a new volume of poetry, Stray Anthem. Nate lives in Santa Cruz, where he is a professor at the University of California, and where he has been the long-time host of the radio program “Tanganyika Strut” on KUSP, 88.9FM.
